Transforming Touch & Intentional Transforming Touch
Healing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies
How can Transforming
Touch help you?
When we are exposed to stress either acutely, through a traumatic event, or chronically from the everyday pressures we face from living in today’s modern society, it causes dysregulation of the nervous system. We lose our connection between the heart and brain, and create dis-ease in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
As you strengthen the connection between the heart and the brain, and the ability to regulate the nervous system you can begin to experience all sorts of positive effects.
It not only effects your ability to heal, it also allows you to move forward with much more ease and clarity to create a life full of purpose, meaning, compassion, joy and inner peace.
A dysregulated nervous system affects the;
Physical Body
- Chronic diesases
- Fatigue
- Weight gain
- Hypertension

Mental Body
- Decrease cognitive performance including attention, focus, problem solving and decision making
- Less able to redirect your negative thoughts
- Reduced reaction time
Emotional Body
- Inability to regulate your emotions
- Poor resilience and ability to cope with stress
- Experience negative emotions more intensely in both frequency and duration. Emotions could include frustration, anger, fear, anxiety, worry and depression.

- Inability to tune into your own wisdom and intuition
- Unsure of your purpose, strengths and values all of which guide you on your journey
These healing sessions, using either Transforming Touch or Intentional Transforming Touch, work by regulating the nervous system, creating coherence between the brain and the heart which allows all of the bodies, the physical, mental, emotional and energetic to begin to heal and perform optimally.

What is the Transforming Touch session like?
Transforming Touch is a one-on-one session that can either be done in person in the studio, or alternatively, there may be the option where I can come to you.
Intentional Transforming Touch means that distance is no obstacle. These sessions are conducted through zoom and enable you to connect with me wherever you are in the world.
The sessions go for approximately 45 minutes in which time different areas of the body are supported or moved. Typically you would be lying down on a table or seated in a chair for the duration of the session. You may notice some movements in the body as tension is released.

2. What is considered to be Trauma?
A traumatic event may be one that you experience in your lifetime. This includes all the typical big events that we tend to label as traumatic such as an accident or an experience of crime or abuse….. but also includes things such as medical procedures. These types of trauma are known as shock traumas. This type of trauma could also arise from witnessing or hearing of a traumatic event where the witness was not able to protect the victim.
Developmental trauma can occur from the time of conception to the first 5 years of the child’s life and as the name suggests it can affect the development of the brain and nervous system of the child resulting in a variety of manifested symptoms.
Trauma may also be affected by the experience of the community, tribe or country.
Research shows that the effects of trauma can also be passed on through the generations. This is known as intergenerational or transgenerational trauma.
3. What is stress and the allostatic load?
Stress is the response to either psychological, biological or physiological stressors.
Stressors are anything that is considered to be challenging, demanding or threatening to an individual’s safety (irrelevant if it is a real threat or a perceived threat). This can include environmental conditions such as toxins, chemicals, drugs, elevated sounds, over illumination, extreme temperature and overcrowding. Psychological stressors such as everyday life challenges, traffic, money, daily responsibilities, relationship challenges, work challenges and social challenges. It also includes sudden changes such as divorce or losing a loved one.
A small amount of stress is not bad as long as the body is given adequate time to recover
Allostatic load and its more severe form, allostatic overload, represent the cumulative effects of chronic physiological stress, which may be generated by internal processes (e.g. anxiety) and by external factors such as chronic stressors or by life styles (e.g. overeating, insufficient sleep).
If you would like to understand more about stress Vs allostatic load there is a really great article by Bruce S.McEwen in the Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience Stressed or Stressed out: What is the difference?
4. How many sessions do I need?
The speed in which the system is able to heal through this support is unique to the individual. For some people it may only take a few sessions to experience some real change and others may take a little bit longer.
5. What is the cost of the session?
The cost of the first intake session is $150AUD. In this session we cover a lot about what we are going to do and your history to enable me to really understand your individul circumstance and ensure that you are effectively supported. This session may or may not include a small amount of healing depending on the time avaliable.
After the intial intake session, a standard session either in the studio or via zoom is $100. If there is a requirement for me to travel to you there may be an extra cost incurred.
There are no packages available for these sessions as they are already at an extremely low price to make it more accessible to everyone.
